Dashing Box in a Bag

How cute are these little packages?? As soon as I saw them I had to know how to make them and I found the instructions here Splitcoast is a great resource for tutorials on all sorts of cute projects.

For my Box in a Bag I have used Dashing Designer Series Paper and stamped a sentiment from
Party Punch a Level 1 Hostess Set. I used Old Olive and Real Red Markers to colour direct to the stamp to achieve a multicoloured image. I then punched it out with the Designer Tag punch and layered it onto a punched circle.

These little bags will be perfect for teacher's gifts.

Tag You're It

I have been tagged by the very talented Deb ( and a huge congratulations on your honourable mentions in the Scrapbook Memories deserve it).

The Rules are:

1. Add a link to the person who tagged you

2. Post the rules on your blog

3. List 6 random things about yourself

4. Tag 6 people at the end of your post

5. Let each person know they have been tagged and leave a comment on their blog

So six random things about me:

1. Blue is my favourite colour

2. I want to swim with dolphins one day

3. My eyes are green/blue with a hazel bit (slightly odd) and my eldest son Zac has the same eyes.

4. I totally love John Butler

5. When I grow up I want to be a hippie

6. I own more scrapbook supplies than I could ever possibly use ..I think I shop more than I scrap.

Okay so who to tag... (I don't personally know that many people that have blogs) .... I tag Meg, Julie, Tamara and if you are reading this consider yourself tagged too.

Six Weeks Ago.....

Six weeks ago today this gorgeous little man entered our lives. In six short weeks he has gained 2 kilograms, outgrown his 000 clothes, learnt to smile and wrapped his 3 brothers, Daddy and Mummy around his little finger. Yep we are totally in love with this little fellow. Happy six week old birthday Samuel William Johnston!

Happy Christmas Mate

I just love the cute characters in the Happy Christmas Mate stamp set. The Kangaroo is just adorable (and the surfin' Santa is pretty cool too). Believe it or not I don't own this set yet so I stamped and heat embossed some images when I was at a friend's (Hi Vicki) ready to colour and use later.
I have coloured the images with my Stampin' Write Markers. They have then been mounted on cardstock and I have used some papers from the Dashing Designer Series Paper Set. Of course my new scallop edge punch had to be used on the card as well. I have used that punch on nearly every card since I it arrived. I love love love it and it is much quicker than using my corner rounder for scalloped edges.
I really need to learn how to put my photos in the text as well rather that just at the top of my post. I am very computer challenged so please bear with me while I work out how all this blogging stuff works lol.
Stamps: Happy Christmas Mate
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: Green Galore, Real Red, Whisper White
Paper: Dashing Designer Series Paper
Other: Black Embossing Powder, Markers, Scallop Edge punch, Real Red Ribbon

It's that time of year when our thoughts turn to buying and/or making Christmas Gifts.
This year Stampin' Up! are helping to take the stress out of Christmas by providing a gift giving guide

I also have Gift Certificates (like the one pictured above) available for any dollar amount. So if you have a crafter in your life that you don't know what to buy for I can provide a decorated Gift Certificate and they can buy any of the Stampin' Up! products they like. You might even like to suggest to your family and friends that a Gift Certificate is what you would really like for Christmas this year.

If you would like to order products for Christmas make sure to do it soon to guarantee pre-Christmas delivery.

Scrapbooking With Winter Bright

The Winter Bright Simply Scrappin Kit is one of my favourites and it is also on special this month. Usually $36.95 this month you pay only$29.56 when you spend $20 on other Stampin' Up! products (a 20% saving).
Both the above layouts feature the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin Kit and they were so quick and easy to put together.
I have made several layouts, a star book, Christmas cards and tags from my kit and I still have some of the kit left. Talk about good value. Each Scrappin Kit contains 6 sticker sheets, 6 double-sided patterned papers and 8 sheets of textured cardstock.
Happy Scrapping

Winter Bright

I have some projects to share from the Winter Bright Simply Scrappin Kit. I love the colour combo in this kit.

My first project with the kit was a star book. I used the book to highlight some Christmas photos of my boys from a trip to Coffs Harbour in 2006. There is something I love about Santa Hats on the beach...they just make for such cute photos.

The stickers and patterned papers from the Simply Scrappin Kit made the whole project come together really quickly. I added some Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon to tie the whole book together and voila it was done.
I'll be back later to share some of the scrapbook layouts made with this kit.
