Vintage Christmas

I had meeting with my lovely Technique Club girls last night. Each month for the last 8 months we have been learning a different technique. This month it was Cracked Glass.

This is a simple but very effective technique using layers of embossing powder that when cooled are cracked (like glass...wonder where the name comes from lol).

Here is a more detailed picture of the image...see the little cracks. It looks really effective in person.

The set we used is Good Cheer from the Spring Mini Catalogue (available until the end of November). The gorgeous striped ribbon is also from the Mini catalogue and will be gone at the end of the month too so if you would like to get your hands on some best place your order soon.

My little man is one!!

Look at this gorgeous face..doesn't it melt your heart.

I can't believe Sam is one. This year has just flown by. He is such a happy contented baby (or boy now...boo hoo). He really is such a joy and everyone just adores him.



And yes he is getting a bit cheeky ...check out that grin. Mischief is his middle name.




And Sam and Mummy with his cupcake..(mummy only does black and white lol).

We took the boys to Anzac Park for a play and cupcakes to celebrate his birthday on Sunday. No big deal... just fun with his brothers and he loved it. I hope he stays so easily pleased.

There are so many gorgeous samples that sometimes the hardest decision is which project to copy.

In honour of National Scrapbooking Month I am looking for 6 ladies who would like to join my new Scrapbook Club in Tamworth.

Build your stamping/scrapbooking stash, continually receive new ideas and inspiration at free classes and connect with others who share your passion for scrapbooking.

Each Club would have 6 members and would last 6 months. Club members would commit to place a $50 order (before shipping) once a month and in turn would receive:

Spring Brocade Card Class

I have finally organised a few classes for March and April. Email me if you would like to receive a copy of the timetable.

This is my Spring Brocade Card Class which features the Pretties Kit, Brocade Motifs Stamp Set and Spring Silhouettes paper. Sadly most of the materials used in this class are on the retiring list. I will be very sad to see the Brocade Motifs Stamp Set go.

Back to my class, cost is $25 and the class will be held at my home on Wednesday, 29 April 2009 from 7 pm. Class cost includes all materials. I will let you know what tools you need when you book.

If possible please book early so I can make sure I have enough paper etc before it disappears forever on 31 March.

Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fundraiser Crop Day

Vicki Whitson from Angels R Scrappin and I are organising a 12 hour scrap for a cause with all proceeds being donated to the Victorian Bushfire appeal through the Salvation Army.

Details are as follows:

Date: Saturday 14th March 2009

Time: 10 am to 10 pm

Venue: Salvation Army Hall, Goonoo Goonoo Road, Tamworth

Cost: $25 per person

Your entry fee covers all day scrapbooking/cardmaking, tea/coffee, morning and afternoon tea and lunch. You will need to provide your own dinner but there are many take-aways etc in the area.

Come for a few hours or come for the long haul. All paper crafters are welcome including beginners. There is always someone on hand to offer advice.

There will be raffles, auctions and lucky door prizes and all proceeds raised from the day will be donated to the Bushfire Appeal.

We will be running make'n'takes over the day and you can participate for a gold coin donation.

Vicki will have her shop there and will be donating 20% of all sales from now until the end of March.

My commission from any sales made on the day will also be donated. I have two classes to run on the day as well with all proceeds going to the appeal. I will be donating all the materials to run these classes. Please book in early so I can start preparing. There will be a Card Tote Bag and three matching cards and also a card buffet where you make a variety of cards. If you are interested I can email you the class flyer.
